Judit Presents Chess Palace in Georgia

In 2014 Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili received Judit Polgar at an official meeting where the Hungarian chess legend expressed her enthusiasm and dedication towards the game of chess and also described her educational chess programme.

Sports Minister of Georgia Levan Kipiani, his first deputy Zurab Azmaiparashvili, and President of Georgia’s Chess Federation Georgiy Giorgadze were also at the meeting. On behalf of the JP Foundation, Judit also had a meeting with the Minister of Education, Tamar Sanikidze to discuss the possibly of having a pilot project of the Chess Palace programme, designed to improve logical thinking and smart decision making in elementary schools in Georgia.
