Chess Triathlon is a new and innovative e-sport event, played for the first time at the Judit Polgar’s Global Chess Festival! The four mixed teams, sitting in a studio in Budapest, competed in three formats: bullet chess, puzzle battle and tamdem chess. The international field was made up of Dana Reizniece-Ozola & Gellért Karácsonyi, Alessia Santeramo & David Howell, Zsóka Gaál & Ferenc Berkes and Olga Alexandrova & Miguel Illescas.
The first chess triathlon was won by the Mighty Fox team of Zsóka Gaál and Ferenc Berkes!
The event with a total prize fund of 10.000 USD was broadcasted by chess.com with commentary by Tania Sachdev & Judit Polgár, and was followed by more than 200.000 people!
